I only use the first 2 , it's fairly easy with a good set of gloves with grip. I've had the Rohn pushup mast in the past, and the spiderbeam mast smokes it.

I said it before 314 , love that setup " Mr Sneaky " @ night !Sirio 2016 Base Antenna/Review (4) The receive on that antenna because it's metal must be Hands Down better than & A-99 . I like mine but the receive sucks ! It's bad when your mobile using your Stryker Sra-10a Mag Mount , come in turn the base on & you can hardly hear the people you were chatting without using my Rm Italy Kev 27-4 preamp . That is the main reason I bought my Sirio 4 element beam . I know that will help !Sirio 2016 Base Antenna/Review (5)Sirio 2016 Base Antenna/Review (6)

I like the setup so far, of course the 20 people a week asking why&what is that on your balcony. But overall , the Antron 99 I had up got out very well, besides the static on the receive side.

314, if your stuck with a bad tune, and not sure how your 2016 tunes and performs, check out the link below. Here are some eHam user reports for how their 2016 performs. Just no pictures..

You might be able to find some added information on WWDX using the Search feature. Here is what I found, 7 pages of post that might be talking about the Sirio 2016.

I personally prefer an A99 over some to the 5/8 waves antennas I've owned.

Well shoot I forgot. Ok well a full month of this antenna, I did reverse the mess-up in my last post. SWR is perfect 1.1 - 1.4 all thru 26.965- 27.855. The receive has less static compared to the antron99 and is a upgrade on transmit also. The SWR doesn't change when it rains, my guess is the cased coil. I'd really like to test it against a Maco v/5000

What length did you use for the top section. Getting ready to put one up
But would like to see if I can tune for 10 and 11 meters

I can't remember the exact number on my 2008, but here is what I did. Using the chart in the manual, I calculated how many MM represented each 10khz step. Then, I started with finding the difference between channel 19 and channel 38. I transferred that number into MM and then set my antenna for channel 38 because I go up, out of the band much more often than below. I can't remember the exact number, but I'm guessing I used about 280, or 285 MM...maybe 290? Anyhow, if you calculate MM to 10khz steps it's easy to figure out.

Is this antenna as good as the Hy-Gain Vertical Antenna, 10/12M Super Penetrator 1.5kW - SPT-500? I've been using my SPT 500 since the seventies pushing almost 2000W with no problem. I thought I might check around for an antenna equal to or greater than what I have.

I'm beginning to think this antenna is a joke. Nobody seems to hear me on it. I replaced the old coax on it thinking it was bad and put 213 on it. No change. Nobody can hear me so when it's nice it's getting replaced with my old I max 2000.
